The standouts at this Playhouse Square restaurant are its assortment of deli sandwiches, as well as sides and house-made soups.

Playhouse Square residents and workers pulling late shifts can now rejoice: Green Rooster Farms, the hopping Hanna Building go-to spot for lunch is staying open later and adding dinner to its array of takeout and delivery options. Dinner entrees include a cheeseburger with french fries and a handful of dishes inspired by sister res-taurant Cibreo Italian Kitchen, such as Bolognese and cheese tortellini.

Plus, new family dinner packages feed a family of four for $36. But the standouts here are the lunch options, including sandwiches, salads and wraps made using chicken cooked in the in-house rotisserie oven. “When you cook a whole bird with the bone, you get a much juicier and whole flavor,” says executive chef Victor Deanda. “It’s very succulent.”

Sides such as marinated beets topped with goat cheese and house-made soups round out the popular spot’s offerings, which often come in Green Rooster’s unmistakable green or orange to-go boxes. “It’s great when you walk around this theater area and the boxes just pop,” says Deanda.

Try This: The Green Rooster Melt ($8.99) is a cheesy, deli-style melt sandwich made with country ham, shaved turkey, mixed greens, white cheddar, tomato, herb aioli and honey barbecue sauce on multigrain bread.
